AWSA ANNOUNCES GOLDEN SCROLL AWARD FINALISTS

In celebration of its 10th anniversary, Advanced Writers and Speakers Association (AWSA) announces finalists for the 2010 Golden Scroll Awards for Publisher, Editor, and Fiction Editor of the Year. Finalists will be honored at the AWSA Golden Scrolls Award Banquet, Sunday, June 27, from 1-3 p.m. at the Crowne Plaza Saint Louis Downtown.

Honored for outstanding ministry partnerships with their authors, the 2010’s Golden Scroll finalists are:

Publisher of the Year Award: Guideposts Books, Harvest House Publishers, and Tyndale House Publishers.

Editor of the Year: Lonnie Hull DuPont of Baker Publishing Group, Cindy Lambert of Zondervan, and Carla Williams of WinePress Publishing Group.

Fiction Editor of the Year: Sue Brower of Zondervan, Melissa Endlich of Steeple Hill, and Barbara Scott of Abingdon Press.

Other awards to be presented at the Golden Scrolls Award Banquet are AWSA Member of the Year, Beyond Me Award, as well as the prestigious 2010 Golden Scroll Lifetime Achievement Award.

Bestselling author Debbie Alsdorf will be keynote speaker with Pam Farrel as emcee. Authors Rhonda Rhea and Linda Goldfarb will present awards. Recording artist Gwen E. Smith will perform a parody written by Martha Bolton dedicated to editors and publishers.

A dessert reception immediately follows the banquet.

At 4 p.m., guest speaker Lani Netter, producer of The Blind Side, will discuss her experiences as well as opportunities for Christian authors in Hollywood.
