Announcing the 2011 Deep River Books Writer's Contest-
Two Winners to Receive Publishing Contracts

Sisters, Oregon, November 1, 2011- The dream of publishing your manuscript may just become a reality in this year's Deep River Books Writer's Contest. Two Grand Prize awards will be given away to the authors who submit the best Christian manuscript, one in each category of Fiction and Non-Fiction. The prize? A full-service, royalty-based publishing contract giving your book a chance to be the next bestseller!

Bill Carmichael, CEO of Deep River Books and Carmichael Publishing said, “Last year's contest had such a fantastic response that choosing one author was difficult. With the vast differences in Fiction and Non-Fiction, we decided to separate the two this time around. Besides, two winners are better than one!”

One Second Place prize winner will receive $1000 and one Third Place winner will receive $750 toward a publishing contract with Carmichael Publishing, the royalty-based publishing division of Deep River Books. “Certificates of Merit” will be awarded to runner-up contestants whose manuscripts are of merit, but do not win a cash prize.

The contest begins November 1, 2011 and ends January 15, 2012 at 11:59pm (PST) so do not delay! For a complete list of contest rules, submission guidelines, and categories please visit the Contest page.

Deep River Books has mentored and published an array of new and best-selling Christian authors including Coach Bill McCartney (founder of Promise Keepers), Kimberly Cash-Tate, Abby Smith, John Claeys, Jeff Dixon, Heidi McLaughlin, and many others. With their top-of-the-line design team, typesetters, editors, and publicity team, DRB products command attention.

As one of our authors put it, “Before going with Deep River Books, I thoroughly researched other publishing offers that were presented to me, which included looking at what other companies offered, visiting with published authors, and viewing the finished products of the publishers. When I made the decision to publish with Deep River Books, I felt it was the right one then; and now that my book is out in the market and doing well, I know I went with the right publisher.
