As we often hear--"All good things must come to an end." And so it is with my work with the Christian Writers' Market Guide. Today I'm announcing that the market guide has been sold to Jerry Jenkins and the Christian Writers Guild. I could not be happier with this transition. Their involvement with writers and commitment to training writers for the Kingdom makes them the perfect match to carry the work of the guide forward. However, it is with no little regret that I end my 26+ years involvement with the guide. The guild will pick up the work starting with the 2012 edition.
For me, this just marks semi-retirement. I will continue to speak at conferences, evaluate book contracts and book proposals, and sell the 2011 market guides and other resources from my Website. I have also given up my "Write Market" column in the Christian Communicator, but will continue the column in The Advanced Christian Writer. Michael Ehret of the Christian Writers Guild will pick up the "Write Market" column beginning with the June issue.
I will continue my blog for now and look forward to an ongoing relationshiop with writers--my favorite people. Thanks to all who have supported me so faithfully over all the years of doing the guide.

Sally, So sorry to see your involvement end, but happy for you as you move to "semi-retirement." I'll warn you. It's busy.
Sally, though we'll miss your longstanding oversight of Christian Writers' Marketplace, I KNOW that semi-retirement will still be a busy and productive time for you. Love you, sweet friend, and look forward to seeing you again soon!
Sally, you will be missed. May God continue to bless you in all you do.
Your semi-retirement sounds like a full-time schedule. Blessings to you as you make this change. Hopefully there's some R&R planned :-)
Your ministry, and it is a ministry, has helped so many writers, newbie and pros alike. Thank you for all your hard work, organization and foresight.
We have been blessed and I know your semi-retirement will be blessed as well.
Sally, you have done a good work and blessed many, including me. May G-d bless you as you move forward in the transition and on your "semi" retirement.
Sally, you've had an influence on me since the Biola Writers Institute days back in the late '80s and early '90s. It's an adjustment to think of someone else putting out the CWMG. True to your commitment to writers, you've handed the baton to a worthy organization. You've set the bar high, but if anyone can come close, the Guild might.
I am so thankful this is a semi-retirement. (I just this week recommended someone contact you regarding a contract). I trust we will continue to benefit from you wisdom, insight, and knowledge of the writing business for years to come.
May God richly bless this new phase of your ministry as He has these previous ones.

God bless you, Sally. I think you've made a wise choice. The Guide will be in good hands.
Thanks for all you've done for Christian writers through your work with the Guide.
Job well done! You'll be missed.
Big news for you! Blessings as your semi-retirement begins.
Sally, I've been inspired by you since '90 at Moody Writers School. Happy for you but a bittersweet announcement. Enjoy and MUCH gratitude from here!
Sally, thanks so much for all of your great work. May God bless you in semi-retirement!
Sally, it's been ages since I've had a chance to see you, but I think of you as always being there for Christian writers, no matter where or at what stage people are. I suspect your new phase of work will also be tirelessly done for Christian writers, just in another mode. Best wishes and God bless.
Sally, thank you so much for all the years of service to those of us who desire to write for the Christian Market. The Christian Writers' Market Guide has been a "staple" on my shelf for years.

Thank YOU, Sally. Many blessings!
Both congratulations, and bon voyage. I'm sure it was a hard decision, but hope you enjoy your semi-retirement!
