HOWARD BOOKS MOVES TO NASHVILLE

Simon & Schuster is moving Howard Books to Nashville effective May 1. Nashville is the home of recently appointed publisher Jonathan Merkh and according to a recent Christian Retailing article, the move will give the company greater profile and visibility amidst a prominent Christian publishing environment, as well as better access to authors and agents. The resignation of John Howard, Vice President and Publisher, will be effective May 1 and his wife Chrys resigned as senior editor and creative director. John Howard had served on the ECPA Board of Directors as Treasurer.
