Q - Is the christian market significantly different from the general market in some way that makes it easier to break in--or is it just as difficult to get published in both markets?
A - The easy answer is that you have to be a good writer to get into either market. But some would say it may be easier to get into the Christian market simply because you are not competing with as many wrirers. On the other hand there are not as many slots to fill either, so that may not be a valid argument. If you are a practicing Christian, have a keen understanding of the Christian world, and can share valid experience and understnading that is of help to others, it should serve to get your foot in the door. However, if you are picking the Christian market because you think it's easier to break in, you will be wasting your time--and the editors.
