Shaw will serve until February 2010.
Shaw is the founder of Douglas Shaw & Associates, a full-service fundraising and communications agency serving national and international nonprofit organizations and ministries. "Broadcast ministries are a significant segment of American media and play a vastly important role in promoting the Gospel and impacting the lives of Christians throughout the world," said Shaw. "I'm deeply honored to be appointed to the board of an organization that works to advance its mission through the proclamation of the Gospel, advocacy, government relations, education and fellowship," said Shaw.
The National Religious Broadcasters is a non- partisan, international association of Christian communicators with more than 1,400 member organizations that represent millions of listeners, viewers and readers. NRB's three-fold vision is to "proclaim the Good News of eternal life through Jesus Christ, transform the culture through the application of sound biblical teaching and preserve religious freedom by keeping the doors of electronic media open for the spread of the Gospel."
Founded in 1994 and staffed by 50 employees, Douglas Shaw & Associates supports its clients with a Donor-Focused Strategic Marketing® platform by redirecting client communications away from an institutional focus to a donor focus, making donors and volunteers a vital part of an organization or ministry. DSA serves one of the largest Christian broadcaster client rosters in the industry. Broadcast ministry clients include Answers in Genesis, Ligonier Ministries, Precept Ministries, Revive Our Hearts, Walk in the Word and Moody Church Media.
